A study of the original lasts developed through the decades to the current design. In addition to artisan ability, design skills were perfected and aesthetics began to have as much importance as function. The year 1974 was a memorable one: Baldinini made its first sabot, the ultramodern clog, marking a watershed moment and, with 500 pairs a day, the start of industrial manufacturing.

Over the years, the Baldinini style became well-established and won the hearts of women and men alike. Its typically Italian taste and manufacturing expertise attracted discerning consumers from near… and far. The brand expanded its borders: first Germany and France, then the decisive turning point when Baldinini entered the Russian market. It was only the beginning of an expansion that would lead Baldinini to have a widespread retail and wholesale network in eastern Europe followed by the Middle East and, in recent years, China and the United States.

For many years the shoe factory’s headquarters in San Mauro Pascoli maintained the complex structure of an enormous craft workshop comprising a factory. Then the premises recently underwent a major restyling. New buildings were designed and added to the original ones to provide more space for each department. The headquarters occupies premises of some 15,000 square metres and houses not only the central administration but also all the product design and manufacturing activities, including the design studio, the model-making workshops, and the commercial, retail and digital departments. The headquarters also includes a remarkable factory shop, which attracts numerous international buyers.

In the centre of Milan and in the heart of the city’s famous shopping district, a 200m2 showroom in a beautiful old palazzo in Via Bigli, very close to the Verri and Montenapoleone boutiques. An elegant layout on two floors linked by a glass staircase. The central salon has large windows with Art Déco dividing elements, and a beautiful early 20th-century mosaic floor. This is where business operations, press communication and international PR activities are dealt with.
