Monja Gentschow, an artist and illustrator born and raised in Berlin, honed her craft at Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee and Universität der Künste. She creates powerful, emotionally resonant imagery infused with a touch of wit. Her work is ever-evolving, continually exploring new colors, shapes, and materials, all guided by her simple yet profound motto: “I paint. You feel.”

"I have a sweet memory from when I was about three or four years old: a pair of white, shiny sandals I saw in a store window with my mother. Later, in the afternoon, when she came to pick me up from kindergarten, she had those very sandals with her. I was so happy." Today, Monja wears a chocolate suede boot from the Fall-Winter collection, with a hand-applied golden button detail. "I feel that I am exactly where I was meant to be. I am truly happy in this moment, in my studio, reflecting on my life. As I get dressed, when I put on my shoes, it feels like I am closing one chapter and preparing for the next. I would describe it as a feeling of instability, but in a positive way—like something exciting is about to begin."
